This gorgeous pair of Art Deco earrings features old mine cut diamonds, each uniquely hand-cut with their charming sweet culets. The diamonds are set into 18ct white gold and still retain their original butterfly backs. The original 18ct hallmark is faint but still visible, and the earrings were re-hallmarked in the 1980s for 18ct gold.
The diamonds are H colour with a clarity of VS and I2 (due to a cavity on the crown near the edge of one of the diamonds). This inclusion is not visible from certain angles and does not detract from the overall beauty of the earrings.
The chunky setting enhances the diamonds’ fire, with delicate openwork scroll detailing along the edges adding a touch of elegance.
